Lydia Medina

Lydia completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Denver University, and holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Metropolitan State University, also in Denver, Colorado.
She was a Social Work Administrator for over 22 years, operating programs in homes and communities that serve at-risk children and families, through a non-profit organization dedicated to Prevention and Early Intervention services. Lydia has worked in the Social Work fields of Child Welfare, Residential Treatment, Violence Prevention, School Social Work, and Comprehensive programs for Adolescent Parents.
Lydia currently provides instruction in the Online Graduate Social Work degree program at Arizona State University.She has been a Tai Chi practitioner for over fifteen years and has been a certified Tai Chi/Qi Gong instructor for six years, teaching a gentle, meditative form, to seniors and adults of all ages. Lydia is an avid hiker and has a passion for travel to developing communities and learning about world cultures.
